Creating an account
In this tutorial you will see how to create a new TaskManager account.
Getting Started
There are three paths to create a new account:
- from scratch, using your own email;
- from scratch, using your existing Google account;
- via a received invitation from someone else.
Creating an account from scratch

Click on the
button at the top-right of the page. -
You’re going to be prompted by a login form, plus two more buttons pertaining to signing up. In this segment we’re going to use the “Sign up” button.

You will need to enter your email address. Upon clicking “Create account”, you will be sent a confirmation email.

Go to your inbox, and click on the email sent by TaskManager. This is what it should look like:

Click on “Verify and sign in”

You will be prompted by a form requiring you to insert your full name and create a password. You can also add a profile picture. Click on “Next”.

On the next page, you will be prompted with a choice: either create a free personal account, or to create a new organization for your account.
Keep in mind that you will be required to pay a monthly subscription of $10 per seat per month. You can save 10% should you choose to bill yearly instead of monthly. You can also name your organization and give it a logo and a description. If you’re only creating a personal account, you will have the same customization options, but you will have “workplace” instead of an “organization”. Clicking “Next” will take you to your dashboard. -
Create a new project by writing its name in the textbox and, optionally, a description. There will also be an option to import any tasks and groups that have been created while using TaskManager without an account. This will skip the next step

The next step involves creating task groups for your organization. You will start with three pre-made groups, namely “To Do”, “In Progress” and “Done”. However, you can remove and/or add task groups.

Lastly, if you decided to form an organization, you can invite other people to your organization, depending on the number of seats on your subscription.
Creating an account using Google
This method is easier than creating an account from scratch, as you can skip a few of the steps. In this segment, we will assume the first two steps from the first segment have been completed. These being said, these are the steps to take:
- Firstly, from the “Create an account” form, click the “Sign up with Google” button.
- From the “Sign in with Google” screen, pick the Google account that you wish to create a TaskManager account around.
The rest of the steps are exactly the same as the ones from the previous tutorial.
Creating an account using an invitation link
You can only use this option if you received an email from TaskManager informing you that you’ve been invited to an organization. Here are the steps you ought to follow.
- Open the email received from TaskManager
- Click on the “Accept” button.
- Having clicked the button, you should be taken to a form requiring you to enter your first and last names
as well as your password.
Upon clicking “Finish”, your account will be created and added to the organization you’ve been invited to.
